In a forgotten corner of Dew Drop Village is a little stream with an old stone bridge. To any wandering eyes there is nothing to see but derelict woodland and a compelling urge to leave, but to one magical soul there is a secret beyond.
Many years ago a little elf who loved nothing better than his own company sprinkled some magic on the bridge so that he alone could cross it. Beyond the bridge, hidden from the world, he created his home. A mushroom cottage, lost beneath a flourish of fungi and forest vegetation.
A secret garden, his alone to tend, his sanctuary from the world.
He often sits beneath the giant oak tree watching as the flowers unfurl with the rising of the sun and listening to the gentle trickle of water.
At night he retires to his warm bed in Bridge Cottage for a peaceful sleep disturbed only by rain drops or crickets singing, safe in the knowledge that none can enter, some places are not meant to be found.
Size: Base diameter 18cm height 14cm (7” x 5.5”)
Bridge Cottage is a magical creation made from air drying clay and hand painted. It sits on a sturdy MDF base with landscape sculpted to create a stream with a little bridge.
There are numerous touches of red and white fungi throughout, from the roof to tiny pot plants and window boxes.
It’s finished off with lots of flower tufts, grasses, bushes and a large tree. (The tree is anchored to the roof for stability)
